Interactive Metronome® (IM)

This is an assessment and training program developed to directly improve the processing abilities that affect attention, motor planning, and sequencing. IM, in turn, strengthens motor skills, lengthens attention span, and improves processing functions, such as planning, organizing, and language. Sometimes tutoring is not enough, especially if there are weak underlying cognitive skills. Call today to learn more about IM and our affordable payment plans.

The Listening Program

For those of all ages who

  • are unusually sensitive to sound
  • desire a calming sensory experience
  • tend to hear imprecisely and inconsistently
  • seek to improve overall auditory awareness

The Listening Program participants sit quietly and listen to specially treated music and nature sounds through headphones.  The brain receives rich auditory stimulation and its ability to process sound improves.  Participants listen for one or two 15-minute sessions a day, 5 days a week, for 8 to 20 weeks.

“Often subtle improvements in auditory processing enable children and adults to improve their attention span and concentration.  Perhaps this is why some children begin to move ahead more easily in reading, spelling and handwriting.  Greater steadiness and focus also build better motor control and speech…”

"The school-choice issue is not about public versus private; it's about choice. It's about knowing what works well for my family and being able to make that choice for them." -- Parent of a McKay Scholarships Student
