Summer Brain Camp / Summer program for ADHD and other learning disabilities!
(Enrollment for the 2012 camp starts NOW!)
It's fun and educational. Many students lose much of the gains they make over the school year during the long summer break. Now, with our part time and full day programs, your child can participate in fun, whole brain learning that will keep them engaged and sharp for the upcoming school year. Our Summer Camp offers small class sizes with degreed teachers! Please request a Summer calendar when you arrive for your tour as we are only open certain weeks of the Summer. We close for three weeks each Summer for families to take vacations and to give the students some down time. Camp tuition includes all therapies and materials.

We could not be more pleased with the progress our son has made this summer at LCCL! The phonics lessons have improved his skills from basic sounding out of words to now reading at an age appropriate level. He has increased his language skills and is asking more questions as well as asking what words and terms mean. We are most pleased with his increased attention span and ability to work on his own for short periods of time. Our son understands the reward system along with the consequences of his actions, both good and bad. Thank you for providing this school/camp session for our children to help them to continue to grow and learn during the summertime months.

Our son, Jonathan, has a speech delay. A year ago, my husband and I were searching for a new school that could meet our son's special needs, and help him to overcome this obstacle. We grew more anxious with each passing day, and it seemed that we would not find such a school. We thought we would have to accept a mediocre school and wondered if his needs would be met. However, when I mentioned this concern to my daughter's teacher, she shared that she had a student from a previous year with a developmental delay who had attended Lighthouse and showed remarkable improvement.
After meeting with the Principal of Lighthouse, we decided that this was the school that could meet all of the requirements we had been searching for. Jonathan is concentrating more on his school work now, and he is able to recognize words when reading. He is more vocal and, overall, he has improved tremendously. Lighthouse offers various services onsite such as speech, tutoring, occupational therapy, the Listening Program, and more. We have used many of these services for Jonathan. The teachers are top rated. They are always available when I have any concerns. There is no question in my mind that we made the right choice for the education of our child.
