Welcome to our private school
Dear Parent,
My name is Doreen Radder, and I have had the privilege to have been a part of Lighthouse over the past six years as a teacher, and now as the school Principal. On behalf of everyone at Lighthouse, I would like to welcome you to our website.
Our private, interdenominational school was founded more than ten years ago, here in Brandon, Fl. It was birthed from a desire in the founders’ heart for a school that embraces all denominations thereby promoting unity in the body of Christ.
We were also founded on the belief that all children, no matter what their learning style or disability, should have the opportunity to attend a school that offers hope and faith which overcomes every obstacle. As a school, we embrace every learning style, and we have a reputation of being an innovative, caring and creative program.
We offer both general and special education classes. Whenever possible, we work towards inclusion for our students with special needs. We realize that all children struggle in different areas and need love and support. Lighthouse has also invested in many cognitive therapies like Interactive Metronome and The Listening Program. These types of interventions are based on new research concerning the plasticity of the human brain. It is amazing research and offers hope, so we had to make it a part of our school!
We have other wonderful offerings too! Speech, Occupational and Behavioral Therapy, tutoring, aftercare and Summer Camp are all offered at Lighthouse. Whether your child has a special need or needs to be challenged more, their educational needs will be met in our smaller classrooms by caring, degreed teachers.
Below are a few highlights of our program, but to really sense our heart and vision, you must come visit! Please take a moment to click on the request a tour button, fill it out online and submit it by email. It will come directly to my desk, and I will call you to set up your personal tour.
Again, I welcome you to our website, and I look forward to meeting you in person.
Sincerely,
Doreen Radder
Principal
